Updates

It's been forever and a day since I've been on here.  I really should do this more often.  Anyway,  I have started on three other shawls for my 10 in 2010- Ene's Shawl, Shetland Lace triangel and an Ember's Embrace.  None of which are picture worthy right now. 

In regards to my reading challenge.  I have made huge strides as I have finished thirty-eight books so far for 2010.  I am well on my way to my goal of 200!  I hope I can keep up the pace and meet my goal!!!

The New Year so far

Well, this year has started out with a bang. I completed a couple of book within a couple of books in a few days but haven't finished another since then. I will try to finish at least three books this holiday weekend. I did finish a shawl in the mean while. I finished my Colonnade. I can't say I like it and have promised it to another woman. I think I used the incorrect yarn for it but I'm sticking to yarn from my stash and it was there.

I'll block it this weekend and gift it on Monday. On the needles, I have a Shetland Lace triangle and an Ember's Embrace shawl. Both shawls are using stash yarn; SLT is using some Caron Simply Soft and the Ember's Embrace is using Knit Picks Gloss DK. I'm gifting both of those as well. I love knitting shawls and have committed to the 10 shawls in 2010 but I only have one set of shoulders, so there will be a lot of gifting. :)

I'll post pics of those shawls as soon as I have enough to post.
