Much to long!!!

I have been very bad in makin frequent posts. So many things have happen since the last time I posted. I have been extremely busy at work. I am preparing for my first trial! I am so nervous but what will be, will be. I have beenn traveling and will be doing quite a bit more in the coming months!

This past weekend, I went to a knitting retreat in my home state. My home state's group on Ravelry decided that we were too spread out across the state and wanted to get together to hang out for longer than a few hours. So one of the members proposed a weekend getaway where we would all hang out, knit, and shop. We had so much fun! I also learned a new technique- toe up socks on circular needles. I generally make my socks on dpns and cuff down so this was quite different. I am so happy to have the opportunity to meet everyone and see all the beautiful items they are crafting. We are hoping to conduct a second one this fall.

Additionally, as a result of this past weekend, I will be teaching my first every knitting class! It was rather unexpected. I was working on my Lady Eleanor this weekend and everyone admired it. On of the ladies present was the librarian who hosts my local sit n' knit and she later asked me if I would teach the technique to a group of people. Well, blow me down! Of course, I will not be teaching the Lady E. due to copyright issues but there are more than enough free entrelac patterns that all class participants can access to learn the technique on.

I am just honored and humbled to be asked to teach the class. I have only been knitting a little over a year and many of the knitters are much more experienced knitters than I. I just hope I can convey the technique accurately. Wish me luck!
